Even though the first Indian settlers came to Ugandan British Protectorate as early as 1895, they have never really assimilated with the Ugandan society and are often seen in a negative light.
I’m interested in exploring this lively, although commonly isolated community due to its impact on the country’s economy and its strong culture that has been preserved without being influenced by Ugandan culture.
